M.I.A.
I'm sorry I've been M.I.A. for a while! My last two weeks have been busy with things, especially because my time at my current job is coming to a close! It's official, Friday, May 27, 2011, is my last day of work. I will officially be removed from the "real world" for almost a year, and thrown back into what will feel like a high school summer! I can safely say, living in the real world, with a job and important responsibilities, will not apply to me until my return in June 2012. Whoo, this will be a blast.

A nice co-worker told me today that she has a going-away gift for me! How nice is that? It felt so nice to think she cared I was leaving. She said its nothing too special, but I said even the thought means more to me than the gift! I'll be sure to let you know what it is.

Rain is the current fad here for the past two weeks. It's been pretty consistent, for sure every other day. I love rain but I also love tan legs, and these albino limbs have not yet seen the sun. Sun-kissed will not be a word used to describe me at the wedding this weekend, shoot.
One thing I do know about this weekend...my limbs will be sore. I started running this week, weird. I'm not very good at it, but I feel the burn. I also started Pilates again today, ouch.

So enjoy your Wednesday night everyone! I will leave you with these small reminders...that my sister and I rocked the pig-tails once upon a time and that I had (and still have to this day) fat rolls on my neck.

It's Finally Here...I Think
Summer...it's here! Although I think Spring forgot to show up, Summer is here! We went from stinkin' cold, to stinkin' hot in one day...seriously. This morning, the sun was shining all over this this cute little tree in my backyard. It's all turning green and the sun is shining hot!

Here's what else has been going on...

1. It was Mother's Day...I love you, Mom and I am so thankful God chose me to be your girl!
My Mama
2. Mosquitos are here, uggh
3. Our first legit thunderstorm came Sunday morning
4. 2 weeks and 3 days left of reality, then off to Camp Shetek for the summer
5. I was sick with this sinus non-sense, a 103 temp, the aches, and the chills
6. My niece or nephew weighs about three quarters of a pound and is roughly 10.5 inches long
7. I've been brainstorming what the Babe will get from Aunt Amanda
8. We started the air conditioner last night...it was 80 degrees and humid in the house
9. Our ceiling fans have started their seasonal workouts
10. My Dad is hanging out with these cool folks in Cincinnati, Ohio this week
11. I can no longer go days without shaving my legs...some may find that comment gross
12. We started taking our evening walks
13. It reached 80-some degrees today...it was barely 60 degrees last week
14. I wore a dress without stockings to work today...some still thought I was wearing white ones

SO!

Map Via
Now that the word is out about England, it seems like any other news will be so dull! I'd like to answer a couple questions I've gotten from some people between then and now.
So here we go...

Q: Do you have your tickets yet?
A: I don't. Tickets can't be reserved until 11 months prior to returning flight date. So soonest I can get my ticket is July 8th! Another kicker though, is I can't get my flights without my student visa. The visa I can't get until three months before I leave...that would be June 24th. It kind of feels like everything will be rushed in the last three months before I leave but I have faith it will all come together great!

Q: What will you do between now and then?
A: I have my current job until May 27th and then I am blessed to be able to be out at Camp Shetek all summer! Woohoo! My sister, her unborn child, my brother-in-law, and some of my close friends work out there too so it'll be extra special to spend time with them before I leave!

England
KateHeadley
I'm moving.
I have been itching to share the news, but had to wait until it was official, official. And now...it is official! I am moving to England! I don't leave until September 24th but I'll be in Europe for nine months. I received my acceptance letter from Capernwray Bible School in the mail on 27.01.11. That's January 27, 2011, but that's how they write the date in England.
Acceptance Letter Inside!
Since I've been accepted, things have been slowly coming together and God is working everything out so smoothly!

So, hang on, what is Capernwray?

Capernwray is a Bible school in England where young adults (from all over the world) go to further their personal relationship with the Lord!
Mission Statement: "Our mission is to proclaim the transforming presence of Jesus Christ through biblical teaching and practical training, equipping men and women for service in His Church worldwide."

Capernwray - I will be living in that castle. For real.
What will you do there?
We study the Bible everyday! We have over 25 hours of Bible lectures a week. Daily we have praise and worship, small groups, personal study, and class time. We also have holiday breaks where we're required to leave the school. It'll be an awesome opportunity to travel to different cities and countries and experience that! During school, we also have mission trips where we'll actually leave the school grounds and be somewhere else for a week or two!

Who is the Bible School associated with?
This Bible school is through Torchbearers International. Torchbearers International have schools all over the world, including: U.S.A., Canada, England, Germany, Spain, Ukraine, Sweden, and many more!

Why did you choose England?!
When I was an innocent little Freshmen in high school, some of my cousins attended one of these Bible Schools in Bodenseehof, Germany. Later, my other cousin, attended this Bible School, in Capernwray, England! I've always wanted to visit England and I think it will be such a great experience to live in a different culture (and come home with an English accent)!

How long will you be there?
The school is split into a winter semester and a spring semester. I will be attending both, so I will be there for 9 whole months!

When do you leave and come home?
I need to arrive in England September 24th, 2011 and will return home on June 8th, 2012!

God is so good! I am so thankful He has given me this amazing opportunity to deepen my relationship with Him in such a cool way! It's the best of both worlds. I get to learn more about Christ...while I'm in England! Goodness sakes, how cool is that?!
The Closet.
I wish you could have seen it before! Lets just say, it took me a good 2 minutes to find a matching pair of shoes in the morning. My Mother had a rummage sale this past week and, of course, allowed me to put some of my belongings out for sale. All my clothes, shoes, belts, and purses were weeded through very carefully to decide which to keep and which to toss. I had loads of cute clothes I either don't wear or were too small. I had some cute things that could double as maternity clothes so I gave all of those to my sister, who is half way into her pregnancy! After all was weeded through it was time to organize! I'd been meaning to do it for a while, but it never can get done unless I'm really in the mood. I've been searching for some sort of something for my shoes so they don't have to line my closet floor, but had no luck on any rummage sales or second hand stores. Any suggestions?
So, now that it's all said and done, it's wonderful to be able to open up my closet and know it's categorized by seasons and sleeves. I'm wishing for a walk-in closet someday!

The Joy of Scripture
I pray you find as much joy and fulfillment in reading your Bible as I do lately. I read the right passage at the right time, everytime. Whether I need encouragement, hope, restoration, or a personal lesson, my Bible has the answers I need! There's no other way I'd rather start my day. Psalm 19:14 - May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. The Lord helps prepare me for the day ahead, focusing my heart and mind on Him. It's impossible to have a fruitful day when you're not focused on the Lord. John 15:4 - ... No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

1 Peter 2:2 - Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.
