How do I begin when I've been gone for so long? It has been a crazy four weeks! One thing led to another and now here we are, August 19. Here's a list of some week highlights...
1. July 26th I sprained my ankle...was on crutches for a week
2. Couldn't work in the Camp Shetek kitchen while on crutches
3. Had our last two weeks of Camp Shetek: Intermediate Camp (5th and 6th grade) and Junior Camp (3rd and 4th grade)
4. A 3rd grader prayed for lunch one day...she prayed, "Lord, thank you for making the world and thank you for making us. I like eating chocolate chip cookies and that's all I have to say for now. Amen." It was the best
5. Jason Gray did a concert at "Camptastic"
6. Last day of work at Camp Shetek was August 9
7. We had our family "Staycation"
8. Ate out at the Carnaval Brazilian Grill...awesome experience
9. Saw "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" and "Cowboys & Aliens"
10. Got my haircut
11. I am so amazed by God's provision - Isaiah 65:24 - I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking to me about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers
And...as of yesterday evening, I am officially officially leaving September 23, 2011 and returning June 8, 2012! I got my plane tickets! Praise the Lord! Received confirmation today that my flights are booked and seats are assigned. Now all that's left to do is pack my bags! I have one month before I leave, hopefully that'll be enough time for me to pack and repack my bag 10 times until I fit everything I want. You know those massive planes that have a row of three on the side, row of four in the middle, and another row of three on the other side? Yes, well, that's what I get to fly on. With TV's on the seats in front of me. How exciting!
