I LOVE to accessorize my outfit with a scarf... tonight, I am showing you two to three different ways to tie your scarf and give you the classy, yet comfy, look. Oh I love it!
So....
Scarf Tie Numero Uno:
This is probably my favorite way to tie a scarf. This Tie is easiest if you are using a thick, long scarf...a thin, short scarf would not give you the full, comfy look this scarf does. Now...how do you do it?
Step 1: Put the scarf around your neck...from there do the action you see in the photo. The part of the scarf you see hanging in the photo, should be shorter than the end that is going around your head. Next...
Step 2: you should have two hanging pieces of scarf...this can be a cute way to wear the scarf as well, just relax the "noose" around the neck for a more comfortable fit (so another optional Tie style). Moving forward...
Step 3: is to tie the hanging pieces into a "knot". (Please ignore the big chubby face at the top of the photo....) You will want to pull the peices vertical, like so, not horizontal as if you would be tying a normal knot. And from here...
COMPLETE! Mission Accomplished! Well done...pretty soon you can tie this in your sleep.
The next Tie is much easier, and faster...finished product looks like this...
Scarf Tie Numero Dos:
So...
Step 1: form a "lasso"with your hand....
Step 2: put it around your neck, like so...
Step 3: pull the loose ends through the lasso...
COMPLETE! And there you have it! Take note, one end is shorter than the other to give a nice effect. If they were both the same length it wouldn't look as sweet! Take note, you could even stagger the lengths more than I have in this photo...I usually have one shorter still than what you see here!
And last but not least...the easiest of all Ties...
Scarf Tie Numero Tres:
I suggest doing this tie with a thinner, shorter scarf. Doesn't look right with a thick one...
Step 1: just knot...and..
Step 2: adjust...
Wallah! El Fin!
And an alternate way is one end in front of the shoulder and the other behind!I hope these Step-by-step photos help you learn how to do it on your own! Have fun with your style! Remember..."Style is nothing if you don't have the posture to show it off with"
Love...Love...Love it, Amanda!! Thanks for sharing. :) I am going to have to remember the facial expressions along with the tie(s). I think that adds soooo much to the 'look'. :) I love you....MOM
ReplyDeleteWell, thank you Amanda dear. They are awesome and I'm like your Mom, just so I remember the eyes and the facial expressions when I'm wearing my "tied" scarves. Love you, Aunt Marlys
