UK Entry Clearance

I am soooo excited to tell you...I'm cleared! I got an e-mail from my Mom earlier saying, "Look what I signed for today!" And it's here, it's at my house, sitting there, waiting for me, stamped on page 13, and it says "UK Entry Clearance" along with a sparkly UK stamp. Thank the Lord it's finally here and now it's time to book my flights. Once that is done I'm set, all I need to do is pack nine months worth in one suitcase! I will have to cross that bridge when it comes.

C.U. - Senior High Week Recap

We had a great week here at Camp Shetek with all the senior-highers! The week went wicked fast, we just couldn't even believe it.
The theme at camp this year is "Mystery". The theme verse is Colosians 2:2-3 - That they may know the mystery of God, namely Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge...

Week highlights...
1. Audra chopping 37 cloves of garlic (at one time) for "Soy Garlic Sauce" (pictures to come)
2. Sniping at War Games
3. Working the jail during a night game
4. Cutting NO fingers this week
5. Having twin (boys) working with us in the kitchen all week
6. Feeling the baby move even more than last week...feeling a hand
7. Mail call...Can You Feel It, Spin It, and What Is That Smell all in the same week
8. The Hoccer Field could finally be mowed completely because it was no longer flooded
9. Seeing all those people again that you only see once a year here at camp
10. Getting a tan
11. Playing on a new water toy...The Saturn
12. Team competition
13. A ginormous Slip-and-Slide
14. Skit Night
15. Tube rides
16. Two new Salvations, Praise the Lord
Also this week, to go along with the theme of mystery, the kitchen girls (and guys) made a video about the Mysteries of the Kitchen! We recorded over nine hours of footage and condensed it to about two minutes! I hope this helps you get a little better insight as to what goes on daily in the kitchen...enjoy the movie!

U.S.A.
Happy 4th of July!

God Bless America

Romans 13:8-14 - Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law. The commandments, "Do not commit adultery," "Do not murder," "Do not steal," "Do not covet," and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule: "Love your neighbor as yourself." Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature.

Shetek Baptist Camp

It's time! First week of Shetek Baptist Camp starts tomorrow! This week is called Sr. High Camp (10th-12th grade). We had fun with the rental camps but are SO ready for Camp Shetek people again! We had a successful "Counselor Retreat" this weekend so now our staff is prepped and ready for tomorrow. Here's some pretty pictures of where I get to work all summer...please don't get (too) jealous.
