Dear Blog and Readers
I’m so sorry for the long neglect. It has been quite busy here for the last three to four weeks! I’ve tried starting a couple different blog posts and none amounted to anything so I gave up. This current post took me about one week to complete…and it’s not even that entertaining or informative. BUT… while I’ve been MIA, plenty has been happening. Here’s a list of the highlighted things I’ve done (or has happened) over the past four weeks:
1. Long weekend in Edinburgh, Scotland
2. A ‘posh’ Capernwray Auction…Capes staff put on an auction to raise money for Kenya missions trip and Romania Orphanages. Students came dressed with money flowing out of our pockets….that’s not true but we still spent a lot of money…for good cause! I bid (and won with my roommates) a 6 Course Gourmet Meal. Two of the Brits who work here (they are both chefs) are doing it. Looking forward to that! Á1600 = (roughly) $3000 raised in total.
3. Trip to the Sea…Town: Morcambe
4. Bowled my first game in the U.K…Score = 108
5. Watched HP (Harry Potter) 1-5 in three days with people who have never seen HP before. That’s always a plus.
6. Attended and danced at a real Scottish Ceilidh in Edinburgh
7. Hiked a mountain
8. I’m back in the office for my duty here at school
9. No poo incidents all month
10. Bought my nephew his Christmas present (pic to come) (he hasn’t gotten it in the mail yet)
11. I’ve written two (1500) essays for school
12. Led Friday night Worship for an hour…amazingly fun!
13. Surprised my Mom on her birthday with a phone call (on 11-11-11)
14. Trimmed some split ends
15. Found the computer room…where I actually get internet.
16. Stayed in my first Hostel (in Edinburgh)
17. My roommates and I read: Stuff Christian’s Like Blog posts before bed each night. Why didn’t I think of this blog?
Due to my newfound discovery of internet...I have a feeling blog posts will become more available, more often. I will be blogging about Edinburgh, Scotland soon!
